How long is around on a sim?
The short answer: 90 min to 2 hrs for 18 holes, 45 min to 1 hr for 9 holes, and 1–6 minutes per turn for rotation formats like closest-to-pin and longest drive. The longer answer — and what matters for event planners sizing a group — is how many guests one bay can move through per hour. That's what this page is for.
How many guests can play. Fastest to slowest.
One bay, one Dryvebox. Numbers below are per bay — multi-trailer activations and trailer + indoor pop-up setups multiply linearly. Pick the format that fits your guest count and time window.

Capacity ranges reflect typical event throughput on a single Dryvebox bay using TrackMan or Foresight tech. The 18-hole row reflects a fixed group of four playing 1–2 rounds across a 4-hour booking — it's a commitment format, not rotation. Actual throughput depends on group experience level, format mix, and how many bays you book.
Match the format to the event.
A few rules of thumb event planners use to size a Dryvebox booking against their guest count and time window.
Corporate happy hour
100–300 guests across 3–4 hours. Closest-to-pin on rotation is the workhorse — 30–60 players/hour per bay means one trailer covers most rooms. Add a second bay or indoor pop-up if your guest count exceeds 240 in 4 hours.
Conference activation
Drop-in traffic across a full exhibit day. Longest drive at 2–3 min per turn keeps the line moving without bottlenecking — and the screen graphics double as eye-catching booth content for guests walking past.
Wedding cocktail hour
Smaller groups, faster turns. Closest-to-pin or longest drive in a 60–90 minute window typically serves 30–90 guests on one bay. The party deck and music keep it social rather than competitive.
Private party / birthday
Friends who actually want to play. 9-hole stroke play across 4 hours fits two rotating groups of four — competitive enough to feel like real golf without committing the whole afternoon to one round.
Tournament / full-day
Bracketed competition with stake. Multi-bay setups run parallel matches with closest-to-pin or longest-drive qualifiers feeding into 9-hole or 18-hole knockout rounds. Day rates from $2,500 cover the format build-out.
Coaching / club fitting
One-on-one sessions with a pro. The Club Champion mobile fitting studio is the established example — a single bay running back-to-back hour-long fittings for high-intent guests.
